The Rulebook!
Let's keep these as simple as possible okay? If any of these rules are broken, you will be first given a warning (unless it is something like copyright, theft, and so on) then if it continues further, a ban.
Basics:
- Respect and/or Bullying. This goes for everybody. Bullying will not be tolerated, nor will disrespect. We like to think of the members here and even the guests as our family, so please follow the golden rule ; Treat others the way you want to be treated.
- No god-modding or powerplaying. If you don't know what these mean PM a staff member and they will explain it further to you.
- The word of the staff member is law. So if you are told no, then it's a no and we ask that you don't push it any further than that.
- If you have a problem with somebody, PM a staff member. This could go under bullying and that is prohibited here. So seriously, have a problem? take it up with the staff.
- Be active. We ask that all members post at least once every week. That doesn't seem like too much does it? Those who have high ranks must post at least twice a week. We understand that life does get in the way, and if that's the case, post in the "Absences" section and let us know that you will be gone. Anybody who doesn't post for ten or more days without posting in there and PMing a staff will have their characters put up for adoption. If they come back and it's still available, we will discuss letting them take the characters back. If it's already taken, then you will just have to make another one.
Posting:
- We ask that all IC posts are done with no less than 300 words. There is a word counter on the left hand side of the page just for this use. If you miss the count often, a staff member will PM you with options. Also, try to keep with good grammar. No one wants to be reading a post full of chat speak.
- All pack wolves must be accepted through IC with the packs Alpha. To organize this, all you have to do is post a thread on the border and wait for the Alpha of the pack to come accept you. Posting in the pack lands without being accepted first can result in consequences.
- Liquid time is allowed here.
- Though we are an elemental role-play, we do want to try and keep the wolves to realistic behaviors. If we feel like the site is getting cartoonish and completely unrealistic things will need to be changed and discussed.
Characters:
- We are a one character per account role-play. This means that each individual character must have it's own account. Please make sure the Alias for each of your characters is correct.
- Though they are elemental, they still have the lifespan of a normal wolf. This means we don't want to see 25 year old wolves running around. The average lifespan here would be for the wolves to die of old age by no more than 15 years.
- A single wolf can only have one element that it is born with. It cannot ever be changed or swapped out. As they get older and more experienced, the wolf will be able to do more things with it's powers.
- Wolves will not know what their element is until they are yearlings. (One year old) and at that point, they have no experience and their powers are very weak and uncontrollable. Only lots of practice and training will help them get stronger and more controlled.
- When joining, do not ask to be beta/okam. These will be given to people whose wolves seem to fit the part and they are able to maintain the post limits.
- All wolves must have some sign of their element in their physical appearance. For example: Earth wolves are expected to have moss on their paws while water wolves have webbed paws and hidden gills.
- When wolves are born, their elements will not show at all. When they turn a year, they will begin to develop traits that will show. (wings, feathers, gills, moss, ect)
- Your application must be accepted by a staff member before you can post IC.
The Elements:
Fire Wolves:
Fire Wolves:
- Are able to control heat and certain kinds of fire depending on their experience levels.
- In the dark they can see heat signatures. (red , orange, or yellow spots from other living organisms)
- Can withstand any kind of heat. They can even swim through lava and enjoy it.
- Most fire wolves CANNOT control a large source of fire (wild fire, forest fire, ect)
- They CAN NOT shoot beams of fire from their eyes.
- However, if a very strong fire wolf is angry, flames can shoot from their bodies.
- Fire wolves often have red eyes.
- Their fur is usually dark colored. (Blacks, dark oranges/reds, dark brown, ect)
Earth Wolves:
- Earth wolves are the strongest and largest of the elemental wolves.
- They can control the earth mostly by blunt force over actual powers.
- They have very blunt claws for digging under the earth.
- Earth wolves prefer to be under the ground rather than up on the land.
- Often have green eyes and medium toned fur. (browns, chestnuts, gray, ect)
- When under the earth, they can feel and see pockets/tunnels in their paths without walking into them.
- When they are yearlings, moss will begin to grow from the bottoms of their paws all the up to their knees and stop. It will be there for life.
- A very experienced Earth wolf would be able to cause an earthquake when angered.
Air Wolves:
- Air wolves are the smallest of the elemental wolves.
- They are almost always white or gray, but the colors vary. They have golden eyes.
- Their bodies are coated with feathers that appear like fur and have wings. If they feel threatened or self conscious, they can blend their wings and feathers to appear like normal fur.
- Air wolves can fly can control the strength of the wind.
- They can use the forces of the wind to push, pull, and slice objects.
- The pressure in the air doesn't bother them and they enjoy 'cloud diving' as a sport.
- When angered, a very strong Air wolf is able to use a strong force of wind to suffocate another creature.
Water Wolves
The template credit goes to Rach on Delusional.
- Water wolves are often tones of gray, but the colors can vary.
- They have blue eyes.
- At the age of one year they grow gills under their fur and their paws become webbed.
- Experienced wolves can withstand the pressure of the water in the deepest depths of the ocean.
- They can make spikes and waves out of the water.
- When angered, experienced water wolves can cause tsunamis or floods.
Reproducing:
These rules were created by Athena.- Pups are usually born in the spring.
- Litters can be a maximum of five pups, but keep in mind most will not survive.
- To have a litter it must be passed over with a staff member, if they say no, it's a no. But feel free to ask again on a later date.
- If a pups parents have different elements, there is a 50.50 chance of what they will be, and it will be determined by a staff member.
- The pregnancy will be a total of one month on the site.
- The pups will be given from the time they are conceived to the time they are to be born to be adopted by players on the site. If a pup is not accepted by another player it must be killed off soon after birth.
- A pups element will not be known until it is one year old.
- All pups are born with blue eyes which (if they arent a water wolf) will change as they age.
- There will be NO signs at ALL of it's element until it's a year. OOC you will know, but don't put it into the role-play until that pup is old enough.
- The thread in the New life section must be filled out and accepted before your wolf can be considered pregnant.
Templates & Images:
- All images and templates MUST have credits to their rightful overs.
- For templates, I recommend Delusional (which is where this template and the plot template are from), Caution 2.0, and Shine. For images, Deviantart & Flickr are good. Photos and templates that don't have credits listed somewhere on the site (templates credit must be on it) will not be accepted.
- Since we are a elemental site we DO allow drawings and anime as our photos as long you have the credit for them. But, we highly prefer regular photographs.
- Please be sure that your entire profile is filled out before you fill out an app. This goes for the alias, large hover image, and the mini image in the personal section of your profile. If you need help an admin will have no trouble helping. Once you have created an app, plotter, and log, we ask that those are all linked and clickable in your mini profile before you make a thread. If not, you will be contacted by an admin.
